Statement of
Faith:
- The Bible is the mind
of Christ, and is inspired, the only infallible and authoritative word of God. (II Tim
3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; I Peter 1:23-25)
- There is one God
manifested in three personalities, Father Son, and Holy Spirit.
Father (Deuteronomy 33:27;
Psalms 90:2; I Timothy 1:17)
Son
(John
1:1-2; John 8:58; Hebrews 1:8; I John 1:3)
Holy Spirit (Hebrew 1:8; Acts 1:8)
- The reality of Satan and his
present control over unregenerate man does exist.
- The deity of our Lord Jesus
Christ. His pre-existence, incarnation and virgin birth.
(John 1:1,2,14; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31-35)
- The sinless life of Jesus
Christ, His miracles, vicarious death, bodily resurrection and His ascension into Heaven
to sit at the right hand of God the Father.
(Hebrews 7:26; I Peter 2:22-24; I Corinthians 15:3; II Corinthians 5:21; Acts 2:22;
Matthew 28:6; Acts 1:9,11; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:3)
- The second coming of Christ
which includes the rapture of the saints which is our blessed hope followed by the visible
return of Christ with His Church to reign on the Earth for one thousand years. (I
Corinthians 15:51,52; I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 1:7; 19:11-16; 20:1-6)
- The fall of man and his lost
estate by voluntary transgression which brings about death, both physical and spiritual,
separation from God. (Genesis 2:17; 3:16; Romans 3:23; 5:12-19)
- Man's only hope of
redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Salvation is received
through repentance toward God and Faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ. (John 3:3;
Romans 5:8-11; 10:9-13; Ephesians 1:7; 4:21; Acts 4:12; Colossians 1:14)
- The resurrection of
believers unto everlasting life and blessings in Heaven, and the resurrection of
unbelievers unto everlasting punishment in the torments of Hell. (Matthew 25:46;
Revelation 20:11-15; 21:6-8; I Peter 3:13)
- Water Baptism by emersion as
necessary in identifying with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matthew
28:19; Mark 16:16; Romans 6:3-4)
- Baptism in the Holy Spirit
who bestows spiritual gifts, of the word of wisdom; word of knowledge; faith; gifts of
healing; working of miracles; prophecy; discerning of spirits; with the initial evidence
of speaking in tongues. These gifts being present among believers on the earth since
the day of Pentecost and continuing until our Lord's return. (Acts 1:4-8; I Corinthians
12:1-13; Mark 16:17)
- Divine healing is an
integral part of the Gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement,
and is the privilege of all believers. (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14-16;
Acts 4:30; I Peter 2:24)
